MSc in Computer Science

Overview

The aim of this degree programme is to provide students who have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with the opportunity to study to master’s level in this subject. Students enrolling on this degree should have a degree in computer science or a related discipline.
One distinctive feature of this degree will be the opportunity for students to get industrial experience through SEED – a software development company embedded within the department.
The degree is a development of the department’s previous successful MSc programmes, in particular the .NET and the Graphics Programming and Games Programming MSc degrees. The Computer Science MSc is designed to be more flexible than these programmes, so that student’s with particular interests and skills from their previous studies or experience can choose from the widest selection of master’s level modules. This is expected to be of particular interest to overseas students.
