Taught MSc FAQs

Can I start the course at any time during the year?

No, admission to these courses is only possible in September each year. There are no other times of the year when admission is possible.

Where is the coursed based?

This MSc is based at the Hull Campus.

How much does the course cost?

Tuition fees for 2008/09 are – Home/EU students £3300, International students £10500.

Can I do the MSc part-time?

Unfortunately not. The course is not available part-time, through distance learning, or on-line. Only the one year full-time option is available.

How many hours per week are involved?

You should be typically working 40hrs per week but sometimes you will be required to work longer.

What is the deadline for applications?

Although there is no official deadline for applications, international students are advised to apply by mid June as it can taken up to 3 months to apply for a visa.

Are there any scholarships for International students?

Yes, Faculty of Science International Student Scholarships are available for this MSc Degree (up to £3000)

Who can apply for the scholarships?

Non-European Union students

Selection Process

Selection is made by the Computer Science Department and outcomes are communicated on an on-going basis. Students are advised to ensure early application.
