Scholarships
Scholarships and bursaries are now for home and overseas students.
Taught Masters programmes
Masters programmes are usually 12 months in duration and consist of 3 semesters of study. The first 2 semesters provide the core taught components of the programme. The final semester provides a substantive supervised project, concluding with the submission of a dissertation.
Our Masters programmes all require a first degree in Computer Science
or equivalent and are considered as specialised programmes. These should
not be considered as conversion Masters, which are designed to provide
a pathway for non scientists into the field of computing (more).
Taught Postgraduate programmes
Postgraduate programmes are essentially a two semester version of the taught Masters programme, with the semester 3 project being omitted.
International Graduate Scheme (IGS)
The International Graduate Scheme (IGS) replaced the Science and Engineering
Graduate Scheme (SEGS) on May 1st, 2007. This new 'staying on' scheme is not academic
subject specific. IGS enables international students who have acquired a bachelor
degree or higher degree in any subject from the University of Hull to be able to
apply to stay on to work in the UK for up to one year.
